Dr. Who - The Complete (Video) Franchise, 1963 - Present
------------------------
File naming:
[Air/Sequence Date*: YYYY-MM-DD] - [SEASON#] [EPISODE#] OR [SPECIAL#] - [NAME] [PART#]
Example:
1985-02-16 - S22 E04 - The Two Doctors I.avi
------------------------
Abbreviations (mostly the usuals):
Sxx - Season #
Exx - Episode #
OR
SPC - "Special" (plus number) - these are the specials that were aired outside of the seasons.
------------------------
Other notes:
-92 episodes from 1964 to 1969 that were destroyed by the BBC have not been recovered to date - various reconstructions using the audio have been created and are included here (these episodes are marked "Reconstruction") - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_missing_episodes. This isn't a fault of this torrent, these episodes simply no longer exist in their original form.
-I've opted to continue the season count past 1989 - effectively season 27 to 30 are the "new" seasons 1-4. However the air dates (2005-*) also make this obvious.
-E01, E02 etc refer to each "story", comprised of 2 to 11 separately aired segments/parts. If the segment itself was given a name, I've used that in the file name, otherwise I've used the episode/story name and the (numeral) part #. However the Exx always refers to story, and never a given segment.
*Air/Sequence Date: Uses the original air date of the episode UNLESS the network veered from the production order for its own purposes (ratings). In these cases air dates have been shuffled to restore the series AS IF the networks aired them in production order. So everything can be watched as intended by the writers by sorting alphabetically, from season to season and series to series and/or specials.
-Season 17 Episode 6 "Shada" never aired due a writers strike, I therefore improvised airdates as the season 17 finale, where it would have aired.
-The file organization is intended for use with a good view filter, using the above abbreviations to focus on a particular subset (eg season, year, specials, etc..). If u need a good filter (for windows anyway) I use & recommend xplorer2 (ctrl+H & ctrl+J functions).
Enjoy and please seed!
