These two projects are really cute and easy to build. I made five of the cutting boards in one day. I gave them as gifts. Women really love them.
I substituted cherry for the bloodwood and maple for the satinwood. When you stand the cutting boards on end and look at them they appear to be 3D because of the grain direction.

The Piggy Banks are easy to build and also make great gifts. You can use just about any two contrasting woods you happen to have in the scrap pile. Last Sunday I made five of the Piggy Banks. My wife said the grandkids will love them.
