Natasha Bedingfield [born November 26th 1981 in London, England] is a Grammy Award nominated British pop singer-songwriter. Bedingfield recorded her first album 'Unwritten' in 2004. The album contained primarily uptempo pop songs and was influenced by RnB music, it enjoyed international success with over 2.5 million sold worldwide. In 2007, she received a Grammy Award nomination for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" for the song 'Unwritten'. Bedingfield's second album N.B. [2007] yielded the singles 'I Wanna Have Your Babies', 'Soulmate' and 'Say It Again'. Bedingfield has achieved 5 top ten singles in the United Kingdom to date and as of January 2008, she has sold over 7 million records worldwide. Bedingfield has promoted humanitarian causes throughout the world, and is noted for her work with children in the "Stop the Traffik" campaign through her mother's charity, Global Angels. While she is not politically outspoken in the US, her song 'Unwritten' has been used by Barack Obama on the campaign trail in 2008.
'Pocketful Of Sunshine' is the second North American album by English pop singer Natasha Bedingfield. It was released by Epic Records on January 22nd 2008. The album is comprised of new songs as well as tracks from her second European album 'N.B.', which was released in the United Kingdom on April 30th 2007. 'Pocketful Of Sunshine' was a top five album in the United States, and its lead single 'Love like This', featuring Sean Kingston, was a top twenty single. The album features collaborations with Jamaican American rapper Sean Kingston and Maroon 5's lead singer Adam Levine, and was influenced by hip hop music, electronic music, and reggae. Most of the songs focus on love and relationships, as opposed to her debut album Unwritten, which dealt with independence and opportunism.
