How to download a torrent?
What is a Torrent?
It is a small file that contains information about other users from whom you will download a file. Torrents work by connecting people directly to other people and bypassing the Napster problem.
Few key terms:
Leachers are people who are downloading the file & seeders are people are uploading. The ratio of leachers to seeders give a percent of downloaders to uploaders and thus more or less the speed and reliability at which you could download a file.
To start
you will need a program that is able to download torrents, the best program is Utorrent (can be downloaded atand a worse example is Limewire (program always causes computer trouble).
Once you have downloaded a torrent-able program you can go on to a torrent hosting site, Piratebay.org . Then search for “girl talk is hot” or any other movie/show/artist you want. When the results come up you will see a list of files , on the right-ish column you will see “seeders” click this icon to arrange the list of files by most seeders first and descending order thereafter. To download the file simply click the icon “download this torrent”. A new window will open and ask what to do with the file, click the option to open it (NOT download), then select your torrent-able program. This will open the file into the program and skips a few unnecessary steps.
Hints:
Read the comments at the bottom of a torrents website (which opens once you click on a file from the search list), this is where people will tell you if the file is good or bad or other complaints/info.
