21 Years of Alright on the Night
"It'll Be Alright on the Night" was an occasional ITV series of comedy compilations of film, television and TV commercials' out-takes (fluffed lines, unintentional falls, etc.)
with humorous introductions written and presented by Denis Norden. The series ran from 1977 until January 2007, averaging roughly one new 1-hour show each year. In one show, Norden said that "Alright on the Night" was the first programme of its kind in the world, when first broadcast in 1977.
As well as the main one-off programmes, several compilation shows were also made during the run of the series, which showed mainly selections of clips from previous shows. However, these usually included at least one batch of brand new material towards the end of the programme. Including compilations, at least 30 shows were made in total (in fact, there are probably more than this).
This is a special Compilation show to mark the 21st year of It'll Be Alright on the Night, first shown in 1998.
