Release Notes:

?ive at Dead Lake?is the second album from art-pop
experimentalists Hot Club de Paris. It will be released on
June 16th through Moshi Moshi and expands on the quick-fire
tech-ridden pop punk blasts and wit-fuelled commentaries of
2006? ?rop it Til it Pops? Out on the 26th May, ?ey!
Housebrick?is the first single to be taken from the album and
the band will be heading out on an extensive tour in May and
June (dates below).

?ey! Housebrick?is a snappy and concise pop song about a
house brick hurtling towards a car? windscreen. The song
documents the creeping claustrophobia of small-town living and
the destruction and devastation produced by such negative
forces. The song bounds along with perfect pop pace, with
Matthew Smith? trademark shimmering guitar work floating over
Paul Rafferty and Alasdair Smith? punchy rhythms. Lucy and
Nicola from Liverpool tweesters Puzzle were called upon for
backing vocal duties and dainty handclaps.
