I tested this on 9.2.5.0 but it has been reported to work
on 9.2.6.0 as well. I've included the setup for 9.2.5.0,
use anything newer at your own discretion.
My install of 9.2.5.0 would not accept any other key or
patch, and like most of you, it would expire after a
period of time. Eventually it got to the point where
it would reinstall but only take the trial key and
would expire beyond the trial period regardless of the
key I used from other keymakers (namely STR!D3R).
Here's what I did and how this BetaMaster keymaker
solved everything.
1. Uninstall any current nero product, and run the
cleaner utility from Nero.com (Included).
2. Disable internet access.
Now click Start->Run and type:
%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
- Click OK, open with notepad/wordpad
Add a line here:
127.0.0.1 activate.nero.com
(as shown, with a tab in the middle).
- SAVE, if your host file is read-only
you'll get an error, remove the read-only
flag and try again.
This was in my host file from a previous
attempt. I don't know if it's needed with this
keygen but I've included it just in case.
3. Install Nero using the included trial key, don't
change the key in the installation. The setup for
9.2.5.0 is included and is the one I ended up
using for testing since the date in the keygen is
about a week before the 9.2.6.0 release by Nero.
I have seen reports that other happy pirates have
used this keygen on 9.2.6.0, but use it at your
own discretion.
4. When the installation is done, run the keygen:
- Click 'Re-Detect nero'
- Click 'Remove all serials'
- Make sure the 'Auto-register' box is checked
- Click 'Reset white wist'
5. Now, from the drop down menus:
- Choose 'Nero 9.0 HD'
- Choose 'Retail single' (The one I used)
- Click 'Generate'
- Click 'Add to white-list'
- Now go back to the top and change the choice to
'Activation (Nero 9.0 HD)'
- Click 'Register'
6. (optional) Repeat step 4 for any plugins you need.
7. Click Start->Run and type:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\AdvrCntr4
- Click OK
8. Locate and rename 'NeroPatentActivation' to
'PatentActivation'. This may not be needed but I
previously renamed it so I include it here ^_^
9. Click Start->Programs->Nero->'Nero ControlCenter'
Check the licenses page to verify keys are added.
10. Done!
Now run a Nero application. Usually it asks
for registration information, but I didn't even
get that with this keygen. Just a simple thanks
for buying and OK then it loaded. If you run into
any problems, you can re-run the keygen and
choose to reset the white list, or just clean
and generate new keys.
MAKE SURE YOU PREVENT NERO FROM ACCESSING THE
INTERNET.
11. If you want to test the expiry, you can set your
system date ahead a month (or a year like I did).
Before using this keygen, it would expire after
the 2 week trial period. After using this keygen,
it works perfectly even after a year.
WARNING: Setting your system date ahead can
cause some other software licenses to
expire.
12. Big thanks to BetaMaster for the keygen. I will
not likely respond to any comments about this,
use Google if you have any questions, or buy it.
