The Orange Box - Half Life 2 - Portal - T F 2 [Slashbak][h33t]

Ok, lots of games here folks. Contained within is the original Half life 2, Both expansions for it; Episode 1 and Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress. This is a no steam install, and requires no further software or cracks to make run. very easy, and an amazing package from an awesome developer.

The Half Life series is probably one of the most influential first person shooter series ever, and Half Life 2 definitely earns that title just as much as its predecessor. This game is made using the revolutionary Source engine which to date, has one of the best physics engines ive ever encountered built in. Great graphics, great level design, awesome enemy A.I., very cool guns, and an overall impressive atmosphere all wrapped into a very compelling storyline aptly describes Half Life 2. If you haven't played it, stop reading and download. You seriously have missed out. This game has won 35 game of the year awards that I'm aware of.

Episode 1 and Episode 2 are stand alone expansions for Half Life 2, continuing the storyline, and changing aspects about how the game is played. New environments, new battles and an awesome partner makes these expansions a huge addition to the series.

Portal is probably the most amazing puzzle game I've ever played, period. Again, if you haven't played this one, get it. Now. It's essentially a physics puzzle game that is done using the same engine as Half Life 2. Imagine yourself as a scientific guinea pig to a company that developed a new technology that allows you to move through solid barriers. Seems simple enough, right? No, seriously one of the most intelligently done games I've ever played, and definitely the biggest surprise I've received from the gaming industry in the last decade. This title has also won many Game of the Year awards. I guarantee you've never seen anything like this game before.

Team Fortress 2 is a sequel to the award winning Team Fortress Valve made years back. This is a team based multiplayer, class oriented frag-fest. Very stylized and off the wall graphics alongside amazingly balanced and deep game play makes for an awesome time. Grab some friends and enjoy.

All in all, one of the best package deals I've seen a developer do in a long time, and anyone who enjoys any kind of games should have this in their repertoire.

To be honest, however, the Source engine is one of the most scalable engines I've ever seen. Most computers made in the last 4-5 years should be able to run this no problem at all.
