| Description |
WINDOWS XP SP3 INSTALL TO AND USE FROM USB DRIVE OR USB MEMORY STICK.
What you need;
Usb hard drive (at least 8gb) or usb flash memory stick (at least 8gb)
Computer that can boot from usb
1 blank cd
1 windows xp sp3 volume licence key (or just use a crack)
What to do;
Burn the iso to cd
Remove all of your hard drives from laptop/desktop
Plug in the usb hard drive/memory stick
Insert cd
Install windows to the usb hard/drive memory stick in the usual way.*USB WILL BE THE ONLY DRIVE*
Windows will prompt you about unsigned drivers throughout process, press yes each time.
When install is complete boot your computer from usb and install the drivers for your computer.
Replace your main hard drives.
When you want to use xp usb simply boot from usb.
Why would you want to?
System repair, legacy applications, old games, work laptop, have a Mac, virus recovery of your main hard drive etc.
What are the limitations?
Does not create a pagefile by default and windows will tell you this each time you start xp but you can disable pagefile in system properties to stop this.
95% of games and applications will work just fine without a pagefile.
You can overcome the pagefile issue by installing the usboot software that is in the torrent, you need a registration code from the website which is free.
THE XP INSTALL CD IS MODIFIED TO INSTALL AND RUN ON A USB DRIVE DON’T USE IT ON A MAIN DRIVE.
