Disc #1 is compressed from DVD-9 to DVD-5 using DVD-RB Pro and encoded by CCE SP 2.7 using 5 passes.
Original was about 6.5 GB re-encoded (not transcoded ;) ) down to 4.5 GB to fit on a DVD-5. Crunched
the couple extra interviews on main disc more then the main film. Both look great and 4 people I
blind tested couldnt see the difference on my HD TV. Disc 1 is in Vob format AUDIO TS & VIDEO TS
folders instead of an .ISO file as to not mess with the 4 GB file size limit on FAT 32 systems,
ready to burn to DVD-5.
Disc #2 Original source was only 3.32 GB so it is not re-coded at all and is exactly the layout of
original DVD. Some fun mini documentaries, recepies, assorted documents & seed saving info and some
previews for related films a couple of which I am looking for now ;) Disc 2 is an .ISO image ready
to burn or mount to an image drive. If you need a program that can burn image files Image Burn
http://www.imgburn.com/ is easy and free.
For those of you that don't have the BW or don't want the bonus DVD to this set, just tell your
torrent program to not download the file called "FOF_FEATURES.ISO"
Synopsis: THE FUTURE OF FOOD offers an in-depth investigation into the disturbing truth behind the
unlabeled, patented, genetically engineered foods that have quietly filled U.S. grocery store
shelves for the past decade.
From the prairies of Saskatchewan, Canada to the fields of Oaxaca, Mexico, this film gives a voice
to farmers whose lives and livelihoods have been negatively impacted by this new technology. The
health implications, government policies and push towards globalization are all part of the reason
why many people are alarmed by the introduction of genetically altered crops into our food supply.
Shot on location in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, THE FUTURE OF FOOD examines the complex web of
market and political forces that are changing what we eat as huge multinational corporations seek
to control the world's food system. The film also explores alternatives to large-scale industrial
agriculture, placing organic and sustainable agriculture as real solutions to the farm crisis today.
