The Eddie Black Story (2009)
Plot:
An urban legend made popular by the streets of every hood is about to make the silver screen. The legend is a gang called the Decepticons who made its niche in American history by terrorizing the streets of New York for more than a decade. Moviegoers have waited eagerly for years to see this story on screen. But, how could one tell a story without seemingly glorifying the brutal violence the vicious teens used to hold their city under siege? Writer/Director Shawn Baker along with film producer Spice Greene ingeniously created a tale of redemption and chance surrounding the sadistic bloodshed, appropriately naming it Eddie Black a nationally known abbreviation shouted in countless rap songs. Finally, a film that delivers an expected dose of sex, drugs and violence while documenting a frightening moment in American history a film that has it all.
