Known Video Card Issues
-----------------------------------------
For the best results it is highly recommended that you have the latest video card drivers installed on your machine.
On the Matrox G450 the blood running down the screen is gray. This also happens occasionally with other cards.
Windows 2000/Windows XP
----------------------------------------
3dfx Voodoo 5 5500 - Random missing textures throughout the game.
Elsa Gladiac (Windows XP only) - While in game, the entire screen will either randomly flicker or the ground and building textures will randomly disappear when you stop moving and then reappear when you start moving.
Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS and Hercules 3D Prophet III - Certain camera angles will produce transparent flickering walls and floors.
Diamond Viper II - Lines appear in the menu animations and glowing text of the main menu. When mousing over the menu text, these lines do not disappear.
S3 Savage 2000 (Windows XP) - Lines appear in the menu animations and glowing text of the main menu. When mousing over the menu text, these lines do not disappear. Objects will have holes and missing textures in them when looking around.
S3 Savage 2000 (Windows 2000) - Massive graphical corruption in menus and game. A green box appears in the middle of the screen instead of weapon crosshair. Text overlays on the screen, such as mission updates, are corrupted.
S3 Savage 4, Diamond Stealth III S540, and Diamond Stealth III S540 Extreme - When using the Q-specs, textures and polygons flash and/or flicker. Random ground and building textures flash white.
Matrox Parhelia (Windows 2000 only) - Low draw-in when using Q-specs. Unable to see through walls while using them due to everything being a bright blue color.
Matrox Millennium G400, G400 Dual Head, G400 MAX, G450, and G550 - There is an issue with the Matrox driver version 5.86.032. When changing resolutions or color depth, all textures/graphics in menus and in game become corrupt. Restarting the game will fix this issue. It is recommended you check the Matrox web site for a newer version of this driver.

Dedicated Server Guide
----------------------------------------
It is recommended that you run James Bond 007: Nightfire on a dedicated server platform for the best results. Included below are the guides for both single and multiple map rotations.
Dedicated Server - Single Map
----------------------------------------
Create a dedicated.bat file and place it in the installed Nightfire folder with the following command line: bond.exe -dedicated 1.
The following commands are available to type into the console created from running dedicated.bat.
Some commands like "maxplayers" can only be used before the first map is loaded.
maxplayers # [sets # of players, set this before loading the first map]
map [insert map name]
changelevel [insert map name]
maps * [displays a list of available maps]
status [displays current information on the server]
mp_friendlyfire # [insert 0 for Off, 1 for On]
mp_fraglimit # [insert # for desired point limit]
mp_timelimit # [insert # for desired minutes]
ctf_capture # [insert # for desired flag capture limit]
mp_falldamage # [set 0 for one damage at any height or set 1 for damage to vary depending on the fall]
mP_teamplay # [set to 1 for Team Combat Training, and 0 for Combat Training, unless set it will default to the previous map]
mp_weaponstay # [weapons do not get picked up and respawn they just stay, inset 0 for Off, 1 for On]
mp_multipower # [a single player can carry more than one powerup at a time, insert 0 for Off, 1 for On]
mp_spamdelay # [insert # of seconds which is how long before a player can send another message]
ctf_autoteam # [set to have teams be automatically balanced for CTF games, insert 0 for Off, 1 for On]
sv_password [set password for server]
addbot (model)(name)(#) [()'s are optional, model = select the character, name = set the bots name, # = set the difficulty: 1 - easy, 2 - medium, 3 - hard]
host_name "" [set the name of the server]
Additional commands to customize and run multiple servers on a machine
-ipname [used to specify which network address the networking system uses to communicate on, must be set in the dedicated.bat]
+servercfgfile [use to specify a different file, default is server.cfg]
+mapcyclefile [use to specify a different file, default is mapcycle.txt]
-port [default server port is 26015. Each server needs a unique port, must be set in the dedicated.bat]
-queryport [default query port is 6550. This is the port that GameSpy uses to query the server for its status to show in the server list, must be set in the dedicated.bat]
There is no need to put the '+' when typing the commands into the dedicated server console, they are only needed when putting the command in the dedicated.bat.
Note: If you would like any of these commands to be used every time a new map is loaded, create a server.cfg file with your chosen commands and place it in the installed NightfireBond folder.
Dedicated Server - Multiple Maps
----------------------------------------
Create a dedicated.bat file and place it in the installed Nightfire folder with the following command line: bond.exe -dedicated 1. Also create a mapcycle.txt file and place it in the NightfireBond folder. In the mapcycle.txt file you can place command lines for each of the maps in the rotation: [insert map name] "[insert command] [insert value]\ (repeat any commands)".
Here are some examples:
dm_island "mp_timelimit 10\mp_fraglimit 10\mp_timelimit\mp_fraglimit"
dm_austria "mp_timelimit 15\mp_fraglimit 5\mp_timelimit\mp_fraglimit"
dm_knox "mp_timelimit 10\mp_fraglimit 18\mp_timelimit\mp_fraglimit"
Note regarding "maxplayers#\" as a command for map rotations - Setting maxplayers in the rotation acts as a filter against the maxplayers already set on the server. If the server has 32 people in it and maxplayers is defined as 24 in the map rotation command for a map, then when that map is reached it will be skipped.
Formatting notes
- quotes and one '' after the first quote and before the last quote are necessary
- if you use "maxplayers #\" without the "" between the "s" and "#" it sets the # of players, instead of acting as a filter
- values that are not specified on the map default to the values of the previous map
- commands that have no value are separated by from next command by only two '\'
- leaving a command empty displays the value of the command
Note: If you create a server.cfg file its settings will override what is in the mapcycle.txt command for each map in the rotation. Enter a single map in the console. Once the limit has been reached, maps will be loaded from the mapcycle.txt from that point on.
