This is a highly optimized Thinstall of Microsoft Office 2007 SP1
with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. In order to maximize speed
and space efficiency, many nonessential components have been removed,
allowing a size footprint of under 230MB.
Note, however, that useful things like the full font set and themes
have NOT been removed.
This build requires no serial or activation (it comes from the volume-licensed
Enterprise version). Everything is fully portable - great for setting up a
portable Office environment on your USB, for example.
Thinstall, if you haven't yet heard about it, is an application
virtualization solution. It is capable of creating single EXEs out of
large, complex, multiple-file application installs. One of the
main executables - in this case Microsoft Word - serves as the primary
data container, holding the data for it and the other programs.
The other EXEs - Excel and PowerPoint - are only a few kilobytes in size
and serve as "entry points" into the primary data container.
How to Use:
Simply extract to the location of your choice. (USB drives work great!)
Click the corresponding EXE to launch Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
All your settings will be saved in a sandbox file located in the same
directory as the programs. Thus, if you ever go to a different computer,
your settings and preferences will be preserved.
