This is the 2009.11 North America Maps only. You simply copy this image file to your GPS internal memory or a SD card and that is it, you will then have the newest North America maps available for your Garmin GPS unit. I used a SD card to install the maps on my Garmin Nuvi 850. This should work for all StreetPilot and Nuvi Garmin GPS units. Other torrents that are several Gigabytes in size and are 2009.11 or 2009 maps are so big because they include the entire Mapsource software for your PC, if you just want the newest maps for your GPS then download this torrent.
Steps to install this for a SD card:
1. Download this image file
2. Get a SD card 2GB or more, and make sure it is formatted FAT or FAT32
3. Create a folder on the SD card called "Garmin"
4. Copy and paste the image file from this torrent into that folder
5. Insert the SD card into your Garmin GPS.
6. Browse to your map information on your Garmin GPS and you should see the new maps selected. On my Garmin Nuvi 850 I go to Tools>Settings>Map>Map Info
7. Make sure your old maps are de-selected, or it will show two POI's for an identical location.
No SD Card:
1. Plug your GPS into your computer using the USB cable and open the drive.
2. Go to the Garmin folder and find the gmapprom.img file and move it to your PC (This is your old map image and you should keep a backup of it just in case).
3. After transferring the old image to your computer, transfer the new image from this torrent to the Garmin folder on the GPS. Remember, this image is 1.06GB, so make sure your Garmin GPS has enough internal memory. If not, you will have to buy a SD card.
4. After transferring, rename the new image from "gmapsupp" to "gmapprom" (Not sure if you have to rename it or not, try both names and see, maybe somebody can post a comment if not renaming it works)
5. Unplug and restart GPS, then check to see if the new maps show up under your Map info.
6. If for some reason, the new maps or your GPS does not work right. Just delete the image file, and move your old image file back onto your GPS.
The main reason for using a SD card for mapset installs is that many of the Garmin units do not have enough internal memory for expanded mapsets. That is to say, a Nuvi 200 only has the 48 States mapset as factory install. You can install a mapset such as in this torrent on a Nuvi 200, but it won't fit on the internal memory even if you delete the old mapset. So, you put it on an SD card. Some of the higher end units may have more internal memory, so you can try to delete the old mapset from the unit (backing it up on your hard drive, of course) and replacing it with this new set. You can use a standard mini USB cable (one end is a trapezoid) to plug the unit into your computer and it should show up in My Computer as a drive. You can then cut and paste the mapsets.
I did not create this, I downloaded this from demonoid and saw that this was not on mininova. Here is the demonoid link.

If you found this torrent helpful, post something in the comment section on what you did, or something that way people know this works.
If something is wrong in the directions or if somebody wants to elaborate on a certain step, post in the comment section. I tried to cover every step that way there should be no confusion. I hate torrents that have no directions or steps so I wanted mine to be the opposite.
