This audiobook is the abridged version of an audiobook narrated by Prof. Richard Dawkins and Mrs. Lala Ward. The Ancestor's Tale is a magnificent work of Prof. Dawkins which tells the Humankind's tale backwards, that is to say, from developed human beings back to unicellar and primitive organisms which inhabited the planet on the first days of the life on the Earth.
What is New to the present files?
More pictures were added to the PDF files, in order to help the understanding of non-scientist people. Those who have already downloaded the former anounce [Richard Dawkins- Audio & Illustrated pdf files - The Ancestor's Tale] can keep the audio files since no change was made to them.
For convenience, the PDF files were divided according to the narratives, but I created one single file for the whole text for the simple reason that I haven't found out how to continue counting pages in separated text files using OpenOffice 2.0 (the programme I used to generate PDF files). Surely there is a way or I can use other programmes to create file in the near future. This function is so ridiculously simple in MicrosoftWord, but Word doesn't generate PDFs and, since I haven’t used MicrosoftWord for a long time, I do not know if this feature was added to it. This single file can be printed with the correct page numbers throughout the whole book. As it could be expected, the position of pictures are different in this single file and in the separated ones.
I happened to find out that one good guy here is working similarly on The Extended Phenotype.
I'm quite sure you'll learn extraordinary things with this book. Unfortunately, most religious people just look down on research like these and believe this type of research is a total waste of time. Maybe they have God to directly give them all the knowledge they need and no science is needed at all. That is a nice privilege that scientists apparently do not have, let alone myself.
I decided to give this present to everyone who access the Internet, because I strongly believe that the dissemination of knowledge and education (and knowledge in acquiring the truth) is the only way to make a better world, at least a decent world for all of us to live in.
Atheism, Agnosticism or Religion. After reading serious scientific work, it's up to you to decide which group to follow.
