Latest release of Finnish hard rock group Kilpi. While few of you may know this band from around a year ago when they performed in the local qualifying for Eurovision song contest and...well...almost made it, but in fact this band from Turku has released already three albums before (hence the name of this album "IV"), and is pretty far from being just a mainstream pop-rock band. Kilpi has more to it. I must say, and I wasn't expecting too much of it (although more of the same stuff), "IV" surprised me greatly. It is full of catchy, rockin' tunes with excellent double guitar leads and guaranteed singing from Taage Laiho. The band has really tuned their guitars in favour for some more edge to it, and clearly been practising their playing too. Expect some nice riffs, melodies and quirks with great production values. The best stuff since their debut.
