Metallica - The Black Album - The Metal Version

I always knew that there was a real metal album buried somewhere underneath all the schlock that was The Black Album. What you have here is what might have happened if Metallica had never met Bob Rock. This is what the follow-up to ...And Justice For All should have sounded like.

I used Audacity to increase the tempo by 10%-40%, depending on the song, without increasing the pitch (so it doesn't sound like "Alvin and the Chipmunks Does The Black Album"). Both FLAC and mp3 versions of the album are included.

Gone are the ballads and the intros to a few songs. We are left with a 38 minute metal album. It's still not a great metal album - you can only polish a turd so much - but a worthy listen for all the metalheads like me who think Metallica stopped existing after 1989.

Throw out your old copy of The Black Album and crank it up.
