This movie is the fourth of the very long and very excellent Zato-Ichi series, starring the incomparable Shintaro Katsu. This rip was made to improve considerably on the previously available rip of the same size.

All 26 Zatoichi movies are available from numerous sources, but a handful of the movies (2, 3, 4 and 25) have OGG audio and are incompatible with most standalone players. So here is the excellent DaveRip of Zatoichi 4 to enjoy on your standalone DivX player.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE DAVERIP AND OTHER AVAILABLE RIP

* The first 3090 frames of the other rip were rendered with an undersized display surrounded by black bars (due to the original DVD doing this) - this has been corrected, and now just has a single black bar at the bottom for the first 3090 frames (to maintain aspect ratio).
* The DaveRip audio has superior sound, due to mono MP3 encoding of mono source (more intelligent use of bits).
* The DaveRip can be enjoyed on standalone players. It uses XviD and MP3 codecs. The other rip uses OGG audio, and is incompatible with most standalones.
PLAYABLE WITH SUBTITLES ON MOST STANDALONE PLAYERS

To enjoy this subtitled movie on most standalone players, please use the freeware AVIAddXSubs.exe to build a new .divx file from the original avi + srt files. Just takes about 2-3 minutes to build new .divx file, and no re-encoding of the actual movie occurs, so no quality is lost. You may then delete the original files. This is only necessary for players that cannot read .srt subs.
