Men and women are born in birthing chambers and, once reaching adulthood, most are transformed into enhanced creatures with infinite patience, living in an idyllic state of contemplation and thought. The remnants of government and military are nothing but a token of protection, only sustained at the insistence of a few paranoid politicians.

Kapel Theta, a disgruntled Signor in the anemic Global Air Force, patrols the skies in boredom. Unexpectedly cataclysm falls from space and her entire way of life is eradicated in an instant. Humanity falls into conflict one final time, a conflict so desperate that every taboo must be broken, with ten thousand years of technological savvy unleashed in a battle that rages through both space and time.
