Located across Lake Michigan from Chicago, it is home to the state’s most dangerous inmates, its primary mental health cellblock and Death Row. The inmates themselves, who were allowed to borrow the producers’ video cameras, captured some of the most revealing scenes. “Inmate cams” were supplied to more than one dozen inmates, including Death Row inmate Eric Wrinkles, the next man expected to be executed in Indiana.
