In my own view, Placido Domingo is one of our greatest singers as that Latin spirit reaches deep into the soul to engage you spiritually with the music and your own sense of communal awareness, in respect of fellowship. It is therefore not suprising that the very best of his fruits come though in duet performances a great deal. We have truly great songs with a team up with the likes of Sarah Brightman, John Denver, Michael Bolton, Paloma San Basillio, Maureen McGovern and Jennifer Rush individually, and even a great (German) "Ave maria" with the Vienna boys children choir.
We have what we think are his greatest songs as indicated in these duets including such hits as Besame mucho, in addition to a solo efforts of the great operatic number "E lucevan e stelle" to introduce the audience to this genre of music as well.
Of course Mr. Domingo has a huge collection of songs that he has performed, many with esoteric tastes of appeal in that they are often for those who enjoy all there is in Spanish delights of course. We cannot do justice to it all, however we bring you (in great quality mp3 files), some awesome selections you must hear of his best contributions to music as indicated, in my own opinion. We also have left out his performances as part of the Three tenors team as that deserves separate treatment elsewhere on a future torrent perhaps.
