| Description |
We are stuck using utorrent rather than the older Azureus version
included here becaue utorrent better handles encryption options
for our particular ISP (we use "encryption enabled" rather than "encryption
enforced") No matter whatsettings we use with Azureus, we dont get any speed
on our network - 15K at the most rather than ten times that on each station.
If however you are on a system that doesnt have such problems, then
Azureus might me nice to work with instead. It is capable of showing
activity based on each torrent, on one screen, including peer flags
with the use of the "country locator plug-in" (included here).
Simply disble the auto-updates in each relevant section in options,
and ensure that no updates are downloaded or installed when you install
the software for the first time. After that you should be safe and "home free".
Aside from being user friendly in aesthetic design, Azureus does allow
you to see the seeds that are servingeach torrent file. That is not a feature
of utorrent at present and its what we miss most and for which reason most
especially that we'd use Azureus instead if our ISP system would work with it
too.
