The HPE was developed by Souless. The idea behind the project was to allow new Halo players to get halo without any hassles. HPE automatically sets up Halo, without the need of a CD Key or any cracking software. You do not have to update or overwrite any files at all; the setup is built-in with the required files. It is called Portable Edition because you can carry around the exe in a USB stick and install it wherever you want without adminastrative rights! This version of the Halo: Portable Edition includes the original Halo.iso with cracked setup. You can use any CD key you feel - this installs the full version of Halo.

Extract the ISO with winRAR, or burn it onto a CD. Then run SETUP.exe; you can use any CD key (type in random characters if you wish). Easy as that.
