The Dixie Dregs – Live at Montreux 1978 (DVDRip – AVI)

This is really three appearances by jazz fusion band, The Dixie Dregs. Mixing jazz, classical, fusion, country and rock, this is an eclectic group of great musicians.

Performances:

1. Montreux Jazz Festival - 8 songs + encore, not quite the music you'd expect at Montreux.

2. American Bandstand - 2 songs

Aired shortly after release of "Industry Standard" in 1982, they were known as The Dregs. with Alex Ligertwood - vocals; Mark O'Connor - violin and guitar; T Lavitz - keyboards

3. Don Kirshner's Rock Concert - 1 song

Morse now plays with Deep Purple and the Steve Morse Band regularly. Morgenstein is an associate professor teaching percussion at the Berklee School of Music in Boston while working on collaborations with Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater).

The Dixie Dregs still get together once in a while for a short tour or studio work, with Dave LaRue on bass, and Jerry Goodman (Mahavishnu Orchestra) on violin.
