Mathematics professor Doug Barnes knows how to count cards and make money playing blackjack, only problem is, he's been banned from just about every casino. To top it off, he has a gambling problem and is deeply indebt to a vicious loan shark.

Desperate to pay off his debt, Barnes recruits three brilliant graduate students and teaches them the secrets to win at blackjack, with team play and card counting. But as the young trio becomes embroiled in the gambler's world, their own deadly addictions begin, and every trip to a casino could be their last.
