After the debut album, Magog Agog, I went to work on the followup pretty quickly. The first thing I recorded was the fabled Lilith album, about which it is best to be silent for now. I'll do the same about circumstances surrounding the recording of Era Vulgaris and this album, which I finally got around to cleaning up, (and dirtying up in places).

Samoth liked the Era Vulgaris tracks, but despaired of selling the album, as he thought it was too weird for audiences at the time.
