Heathcliff, a poor abused orphan, is taken in by a charitable man and his two children, Hindley and Catherine.
Hindley and others look down and mistreat Heathcliff, but he is loved by Cathy. The two are inseperable, and when they grow up, so does their love for each other. But when the father dies, Hindley returns and casts Heathcliff out. Cathy is also torn by her desire for a better life and her passion for Heathcliff. When she marries another man, Heathcliff runs away, but later returns as a wealthy man. He buys Cathy's childhood home and sets out to torment all those who hurt him, including Cathy.
When he marries Cathy's sister in law, Isabella, Cathy is heartbroken. She later dies in childbirth, leaving Heathcliff alone in torment. He later kidnaps Cathy's child and takes her to marry his son. It is there that she learns of Cathy & Heathcliffs story and their unending love for each other.
Starring: Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley.
